Whole-hostel bookings for groups of up to 18
Moffat Independent Hostel can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests across six bedrooms making us an ideal venue for group bookings. We have hosted all sorts of groups and events including family reunions, micro conferences, English Language courses, outdoor activity groups, and chess competitions! Rates for whole hostel bookings start at £540 for 18 guests.
Whilst most groups like to take advantage of the great restaurants in town, or our own self catering kitchen, some groups like to treat themselves to something extra special! We work with a local chef who can provide a fine dining experience, serving up bespoke menus in our dining room for up to 12 people. Get in touch by email if you would like to find out more!

Our rooms are as follows:
First Floor
- Superior double room with en suite WC/shower – sleeps two people in one king-sized double bed
- Superior quad room with en suite roll top bath/shower/WC – sleeps four people in two bunk beds.
- Basic quad room with en suite WC/shower – sleeps four people in two bunk beds
Second Floor
- Standard quad room with en suite bath/shower/WC – sleeps four people in one set of bunk beds, and 2 x standard singles
- Twin room with en suite WC/shower – sleeps two people in two single beds
- Twin room with en suite WC/shower – sleeps two people in two single beds
Whole-Hostel Bookings
For a whole-hostel booking guests will have exclusive use of the public areas which include:
- Kitchen: Equipped with 2 x double hot plate hobs, 1 x grill, 1 x fan oven, 2 x microwaves, 1 x fridge, 1 x chest freezer, 1 x dishwasher, a full range of crockery, glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils
- Dining Room: seats 15 people comfortably and 18 people with a bit of a squeeze!
- Games room with 7-foot pool table. Can seat an additional 12 people for dining.
- Drying room with heated clothes drying racks and places to store and dry boots and equipment.
- Lock-up Garage monitored by CCTV: For the secure storage of bikes, kayaks, etc.
- Bike washing area: Equipped with hosepipe
- Lounge with comfortable seating and a pool table
Whole-hostel booking for up to 18 people: £540 per night.
Note:
- We do not accept dogs or other pets
- We do not accept stag or hen parties
- There can not be excessive noise after 10pm, and no noise at all after midnight.
- There will be members of staff living on site throughout your stay, even for whole-hostel bookings.
